Our Story
True North Event Group was founded with a specific ambition: to raise the standard of what event entertainment in Canada can be. Not by adding complexity, but by doing the fundamentals with unusual consistency and care.
We recognised early on that the gap in the market wasn't experience formats — it was execution quality. Table game entertainment had been delivered in Canada for years, but rarely with the operational discipline, guest experience focus and presentation standard that corporate and private clients deserved.
We built our model around filling that gap. Every hire, every process and every planning decision reflects the same underlying commitment: that when a client trusts us with their evening, they receive something that holds up from the first arrival to the last hand.

Planning Philosophy
A beautiful table setup that runs poorly is worse than a simple table that runs beautifully. We invest our energy in the operational details that guests feel — pacing, welcome, host composure, smooth transitions — before we invest it in aesthetics. The presentation follows naturally once the foundations are right.
We never assume a guest has played before. Our hosts are trained to read the room, identify guests who need orientation and bring them into the experience naturally — without singling them out or making hesitation feel unwelcome. Inclusivity in entertainment isn't a philosophy we publicise. It's a skill we train.
Event organisers and hosts have enough to manage on the night without worrying about whether the entertainment is running properly. We design our service so that once setup is complete, our client can put us entirely out of their mind. If something needs attention, we handle it before they notice it.
We build proposals that reflect what an event actually needs, not what fills the largest package. If two tables serve your guest count better than four, we'll say so. Staff dress code, guest engagement approach and on-site behaviour are held to a standard consistent with your event's tone — whether formal corporate or relaxed private.
If anything deviates from plan, our on-site manager owns the resolution. We do not create client-side problems from operational challenges we should be managing ourselves.

Our hosts are selected not just for knowledge of the games but for their ability to manage energy in a room — to read when a guest needs encouragement, when a table needs pace, and when the right response is simply to let the moment breathe.
Every team member goes through event-specific training before deployment, including guest interaction, pacing principles, event context (corporate vs. private tone) and contingency protocols.
Staffing for each event is matched to the format — larger events receive a senior host who manages the team and maintains a line of communication with the client throughout the evening.
